How much stock do you put into a top overhaul?

I hear your reasoning, but it still sounds like you're operating on 'probably' and 'might as well' and not hard data. Maybe leave that fourth (good) cylinder in place next time and see how far it goes? You might be surprised.

I've swapped out a ton of cylinders in my day for all kinds of reasons. So when stars align and I get one that just seems to be set up right, always has good numbers and never shows much wear - I leave it the f- alone. The idea that I would pull it off and send it out just because the ones right next to it went south early is nuts. You're spitting in the face of good fortune.
