How does ATC feel about "side" conversations on frequency by two planes?

Small chit-chat is just fine in the eyes of most controllers, situation-permitting, of course.

If you come blabbing on the radio when traffic needs to be moved, be prepared.

It's the controller's radio and airspace, if he wants to have a talk, go for it. If he needs to get something done, that immediately takes priority and you will know.

You do know that 123.45 is not an authorized air-to-air frequency, right?

It is if you are doing "test" flights......

And in an experimental.. EVERY flight is a test flight...:yesnod:........;)
