I know I have read the how-to on this, but I can't remember or find the steps to make an uploaded picture appear in the body of the post, so that you don't have to click it to view it.

One way is to upload the image to an on-line gallery such as flicker or photobucket (there are several others) and then insert a link using the "Insert Image" icon displayed above the PoA post entry dialog box. There may be a simpler way, but I'm not aware of it.

If the photo is not on photobucket or other such site you can attach the image to the message, click on the attachment to get the URL, and then paste that url into the pop up when you click on the insert image button

After you attach the file to the post, right click on the link that appears and choose "Copy Link"

Then use that link as an image in the post.
