Actually, I'd bet he's just like well over half of the weather broadcasters who are there for nothing more than looks or whatever. They sure as heck don't have an understanding of meteorology.

I've never seen him do weather but he surely can't be worse. But, he's where he belongs now and he doesn't kiss the female contestants.

Pat was a weatherman in San Diego back in the 70's, pre Wheel. Pat was never educated in any way formally on weather. The nice thing is that the forecast in San Diego is not that hard to figure out.
