How Can I Figure Out What Programs are Running in the Background?

Hi All,

I have a Lenovo X200 tablet with XP Pro SP 3. I have had McAfee installed since day 1, and do regular updates with it saying I currently have no problems....

Every time I shut off my computer, there are a few programs that are "forced shutdown" that I have never heard of or seen before...Anyway to find out what these programs are, and to delete them?

Task Manager should show the legit ones.

Download procexp.exe, and it can show you a bunch more info, including the non-legit ones. Then just google the ones you don't know the names of.
