Paul's brother Dennis isn't quite so ostentatious. While a flight student he bought a Cessna 182. Later, when certificated PP-ASEL and his daughter was a college basketball star there were certain transportation factors for which cross USA flights weren't adequately handled by the Skylane. So he bought a Citation. I think he told me he did Citation Type-rating, Instrument Rating and something else during three consecutive days flying/testing. Nice hangar: two planes, a couple boats, several upscale automobiles.

I still have no idea what this thread is about. Seems to be a bit of a pattern.

My house is also not for sale. Except when I bought it, when in fact it was for sale.

My house isn't for sale either, unless someone wants to give me a substantial amount of money for it. So I guess it is for sale after all!

I love my house and land but if you got goobs and goobs of cash I will entertain your ideas. This goes for my cars and bikes as well. I use a stainless fry pan to make eggs and the oven for bacon. My dog loves to rough house he is also not for sale. I want to see the new avengers movie in 3D.

I have only recently discovered that you can bake bacon. It's nice to be able to cook the whole package, then just dish out what I need for the next coupl'a days.

And I have also just switched to stainless steel pans and they DO make a difference in how your food tastes (for the better)!

OK, now I need to go chug a beer or kick a puppy so I start feeling like a man again.

I dunno, the non-stick is awesome for stir fry. I did buy a stainless steel pan for searing steaks and other good stuff but it sticks pretty frequently. Electric stove :(

I require fire! Screamin' hot wok or pan and I'll be satisfied :goofy:

I hated stainless steel because of the sticking problem, Until I discovered "this one simple trick",
Get the pan good and hot before you put any oil or food in it. At a minimum, put a few drops of water in the pan and then don't put anything else in it until after the water sizzles away.

Correct. My wife attempted to WASH one of my cast iron skillets once :no::no::no:

I have 2 cast iron skillets, a grill and a glass popcorn bowl. That's all you need.

Interesting, water BEFORE..... My trick is after ur done cooking in the pan, keep the stove on then put about half a cup of water in the pan and whatever gunk is in there will come off pretty easily. Of course, remove whatever food u cooked in it first ;) ;)

Yup, this is how I do it zero sticking issues and the pan last forever. We were buying hundred and some dollar pans twice a year from bed bath beyond. They would work great until the poison coating wore off.

    Love my cast Iron skillets.

I use water and a green scratch pad nothing else to clean my cast iron skillets.

I have a few cast iron Skillets I got from my mother. She put something in these and they have a really bad odor. I tried firing them in a camp fire and this did not help. What can I do for these or are they bad? One looks to have paint put in it at one time. Firing it did not remove this paint or what ever was put in this skillet.

I bake my bacon. Cooks it even and has a better taste IMHO.

I own a condo and it's not for sale either, mostly because it's not worth enough to bother selling it. :goofy:

(IOW, renting it out makes more sense...)

    Paint??

Sandblast it, re-season, and start right over like it was a brand new skillet. Don't throw them away, they will last forever.
