Leadville is what I was trying to remember.

You got to go there and experience it! DA's of over 14,000' ON THE GROUND, during the summer!

If you get there, make sure Daniel or Ursula sign a certificate for you, stating that you "successfully navigated the airways to the highest airport in north America". It's a nice little momento...
 
The unsinkable Molly Brown was from Leadville. That place used to be the richest town in the west.
 
Important distinction: Leadville is the highest "Public Use" airport in the United States. There are higher airports.
 
I flew to Leadville a couple of summers ago in my Tiger and it is an experience as is any true mountain flying in a normally aspirated airplane. They give you a certificate upon landing too. Very cool.
