Hemorrhoids, how bad are them from an aeromedical perspective

I suspect I might have a mild case of hemorrhoids.
I don't want to get into details as some of you might be eating at this time.

In any case, I was wondering... say I am diagnosed with hemorrhoids. I guess I would have to disclose it in the 8500 medical form. How would it be handled?, is it a non issue?, does it require an SI?
I don't think I could be incapacitated by my condition, not even close.

I appreciate any advice. Considering that roughly half the population suffers from it (maybe mostly in mild form), I assume that there should be some experience here, and the anonymous feature is particularly useful for such a sensitive topic :)

*sigh* this crowd isn't gonna avoid a straight line like this. So since you have a burning desire and a real itch to know the right answer, best to get the absolute correct answer from Dr Bruce Chien. He can be reached via his website, www.aeromedicaldoc.com

My wife has had a few surgeries for them. Pretty much once you're recovered enough to sit down and fly, you're good.

Disclose hemorrhoids on the medical? I never really thought about that before. What would I write down? EdFred?

:)

But, seriously, does anyone actually list/disclose this?

I had 'roids long before getting my first medical a dozen years ago and never even thought about it.

Ohhhhhh...I guess I'm losing my medical and going to hell now!

I was diagnosed with them about 20 years ago.
Since they've never progressed beyond the "mild" stage, no one does anything about them.
I have no idea whether or not they've ever been reported, nor have I ever had a significant problem with them (other than PITA)
Non-issue

When I was a working broadcaster(radio) I always wanted to get contracted to summon my deepest, resonant sound booth voice to do a national commercial. A shorty, it would have been scripted, "Use Preparation H, and KISS those piles good-bye." Never happened.

OP here, thanks for all the responses!

I guess I'll have my rear looked at, it might not be hemorrhoids, but it itches like crazy sometimes, and it's kind of inconvenient. The skin around where the magic happens feels so irritated.

Since I'm here... what kind of doctor would I have to make an appointment with for this? (no PCP, young and healthy otherwise).

Thanks again!

A general practitioner to start. If a specialist is needed the GP will so advise.
