Little family history of heart issues. Had normal echo, stress test and ekg. Dr is recommending cath as a precautionary test. If they do cath and find no issues how long am I grounded for ?

Was having some chest pain but they are sure just stress related. Just think he's being over cautious

dog wagging the tail ... do as recommended and it may or may not impact flying. Even if they find something and correct it you can eventually & likely fly.

If you are cathed and negative, you fly that same day.
If you are cathed and not negative, you probalbly wanted to know anyway.

However, there are two ways to view this: First, unless you are a person who needs a "test" to push you to (1) Eating right (2) Exercising (3) maintaining a lean body mass, (4) controlling glucose intolerance, then you would do all those things you should do anyway and a Cath is needless additional risk.

Be honest with yourself. Which one are you? Do you need the Cath to push your behaviors?

If you want to fly ,you want to be sure your able too. And thankDr Bruce for coming back and giving you his experience.
