Has anyone checked on this?

I haven't dug up enough facts to be able to disprove it so I am not sure but this is a pilot forum so I am sure people here are interested in learning if maybe it was him.
 
Yup. He was flying a souped up ancient Inca jet saucer. But since the flight happened in France there are no credible witnesses.
 
I thought it was divinci in his helicopter. I've seen images of that.

It's amazing that the Whiteheaders blame the Smithsonian for being part of this conspiracy, but the Smithsonian was firmly in the Langley camp until after WWII.
