The Iola airport hosts a Friday lunch flyin year round (skis recommended in the winter). Great little grass strip with a pot luck style lunch for $8.

If you make it up there make sure you sit down to talk to Paul Johns at 102 and a half we will talk your ear off about flying Boeing 314s in the 1940s. The chart he used to navigate to Hawaii for his checkout is on display in the hangar along with a ton of other PanAm Clipper memorabilia.
If you are near WI on a Friday it's worth the trip. Food is pretty good as well ;-)
