Is this the same one where the reason the engine stopped was that she RAN OUT OF FUEL?

It does sound like it may be time for her to give up the ticket unless she can show a miscalculation not likely to happen again. That would largely depend on how far she tried to fly on that last leg, etc. Either way, a review may be in order if she is to keep the ticket alive.
