I'm thinking this could have some type of aviation use (ie. aircraft to aircraft), but anyhow, it's definitely a cool-looking gadget.

I'm not sure what that use would be. It's a low speed VHF datalink that allows you to send "SMS-like" messages to other gotenna equipped radios. I chuckle when they describe 151 as "long range" radio (well I guess compared to Bluetooth it is).

It's unfortunate that the FCC doesn't allow meshing. Yes, probably minimal aviation use, but it looked neat.

The P2P aspect is minimally useful, unless you are sending an SOS and you just want someone to get the message.
I can think of better ways this could be used, if it was allowed. But, alas, it isn't.
Just another way to separate social mediaheads from their money.

I've been experimenting with this in the planes. Much cheaper and much more effective, but still not a perfect solution.

Don't know about the product, but that commercial is the balls.

It's got a minotaur guy, Iron Man and a guy smoking a blunt.

That girl in the forest looked like she was about to cry. :D

Ad gold.
