Hello All,
Has anyone found a GOOD solution for a prop filter on a Hero2?

I've seen all kinds of (just put it on the lens) films and gels, but nothing as nice as the NFlight for GPH3.

Thanks!
Brad

I see you don't care for the films. But, as you said, there's not a snap-on solution for the older models.

I've used a film from PolarPro Filters. Simple, cheap, and works very well. Totally eliminates the crazy prop.

I haven't found the need for one on my hero2.

Looks like a great option...

Also looks like they aren't making them any more :/

Any leads? I've been searching for them, but have been coming up short.

Turn the frame rate up to higher than 60fps and the prop effect will go away and you won't lose the quality of your video by having nothing but a piece of tinted polarized film covering your lense.. You'll lose recording time, but with a 64gb card, who cares.

Now Oliver's link is a very good one to keep, because those are professional filters for video and are worth every penny for their actual use, having nothing to do with prop effect, but better video composition.

I believe this company was the first to offer such filters:

Nflight IMHO is overpriced plastic gimmick that's marketed to people who don't know the process. What you are looking for is a Neutral Density Filter with a 3 stop. I have a polar filter for my Hero 3 (I don't have a two) and the lens is glass and I has a much better proper filtering than the nflightcam plastic crap (which I also have). Here's a link to my YouTube page and you can see the my videos that I recently shot with the filter.
