Aero-news is reporting one of the pioneers of aviation General Olds passed away Thursday. He was a triple ace with a total of 17 kills (13 in WWII and 4 in Vietnam). He was honored as one of the 100 aviation heroes during the 2003 Centennial of Flight in North Carolina. I don't recall for sure, but he may have been on stage there during the ceremony.
