Dear All

I have been to learning fly in 2012 for around 84 flighthours in Hayward,

CA.

Due to my work and financial problem, I stop my training just before

check ride.

I am going to spend a week of March and April for go back to PPL

Training.

And I am looking for reasonable price school (Ex-school called C-172

$152/hr and Instructor $50/hr)

So, I found Sky walk Inc. (KSAC)

My questions are:
1. Does anyone train in this school ? how is the reputation. And

experience.
2. They say I can take PPL checkride with school's Chief Instructor or

Owner, right? Because I only have a limit time, I don't want to fly to

another airport to find the other DFE.

BUT cannot find their name on the FAA DPE list.

no idea on #1 but on #2 you can take a checkride with him/her if they are currently a DPE. I picked my school in part because the Chief CFI/owner was a DPE previously but not currently and had a fair but pretty tough reputation. I knew if I could get past her on a couple mock checkrides I'd be good to go. I did have to fly to a different airport to do my checkride though. It wasn't a big deal - I did a couple solo XC's up there, did some landings, prior to my checkride went up once to fly out the first 20 miles of my simulated XC for the checkride, etc... Good practice/experience.

Good luck!

Interesting a DPE school owner CFI talk about covering all grounds of the business

I've heard good things about Skywalk. Since you're looking around the neighborhood, you might want to visit Cal Aggies Flying Farmers at EDU.
