No go for me

by the way, does anyone actually know this dumbass?
Holy crap! I’m not going THERE!! Too dangerous!!
I wish I *did* know him. I’d like to slap him.
He pulled that video down. I wish he had left it up cuz it was hysterical
it's totally still on the tube
I just solved for N…. Then I immediately remembered why I started flying. I guess I’ll get my sign ready.
I'm in. Idc when, just make it happen. Whisky in hand.
I’ll second that.

October 21 is @SixPapaCharlie's birthday... just saying...
Do we have an official date? I've been telling my wife about Gaston's for more than 10 years and now I live close enough to make it a real possibility this year.
As soon as the date is firm I'll book vacation time and make it happen.
I called, and asked about the last weekend of Sept, and the first three weekend of Oct. They noted of those four, Oct. 15-17 had pretty good availability. If the gang likes mid-October, we should start booking. I’ve family conflicts that weekend and the remainder so am out. We’ll try to sneak in earlier Sept. or November, neither will be as nice weather-wise.
I am out Sep 17-19 and Sep 24-26
Says the guy that flew in with prop tip winglets.
o u c h
Ahh man, you didn’t hafta go there!
If it helps, I noticed the proplets and still jumped in the back for a ride.
Wait - so what’s the new date? I need my “request for being gone on the weekend to do flying related activities” form to be signed in triplicate before I can confirm my attendance.
No official date for me(us). I am waiting on some outside folks and have penciled in weekend of Sept. 17-19. My October is a hot mess and/or they are nearly sold out so if our Sept. falls through, we'll try again in Nov.
Hey - anyone bringing kids? Trying to decide whether to find someone to take the munchkins or if there might some other kids mine can play with while there.
Did we ever nail down a date?

Bump. Cancelled due to lack of interest?
Well, we still want to go and can go Nov. 12-14. 12th is Veterans Day, so some may have that off. I confirmed they have rooms for 5+ reservations. @Jim K is that after the majority of work is done?
Who else is in? Should be the last touch of fall colors in that area. New folks? People that took a few years off? As noted, their cancellation policy is improved.
I sure hope so, although the way it's going I don't know. This was my Thursday:
And I lost the engine in one of my trucks today.
In all seriousness though, I think the misses and I would be up for that date.
Those are dates that could work. I’ll know for certain a week from today.
Well, I can’t like this post. Hopefully you find your engine soon. Probably out behind the hedges or something. Yuck yuck yuck.
I forgot to note they are sold out between now and then, so try to book soon if you are interested.
Oh cool. You got one of those new super low tire compaction machines. I heard they work really well if you attach sweeps to the rear axle so it does your fall tillage as it's dragging across the field...
We're booked. The cancellation policy has been amended yet again. $35 if more than 2 weeks, $70 if less, and as others have reported, you can reschedule for free. Nearest airport with approaches is KBPK and they will send a van to pick you up, though when you land at 2 AM ... its good to have friends. @flyingcheesehead
We flew to bpk last year to look at a Six, and while we were sitting there a 210 landed. The pilot steps out...long gray hair in a ponytail, dirty t-shirt, cargo shorts, and no shoes. One look at his feet made it obvious this guy didn't own shoes.
His wife(?) gets out in a long swooshy tie dye dress. She's probably in her late 40's, quite beautiful, and in a manner similar to the pilot, probably does not own a bra.
They said they were headed back to California from the smoky mountains, but were in no hurry. They didn't like the weather ahead and decided to stay the night, so the csr called gastons and they were whisked away in the van.
I was in awe of the DGAF attitude. I aspire to be that free someday, and will never forget those two.
