Garmin D2 watch ...

Thinking about getting one for Christmas along with the virb.

Anyone out there wearing a D2? How do you like it and how does it perform?

Save the D2 money and consider the iWatch. Already lots of functionality going yo be there. And one can easily see Tyson and Hilton coming up with something that will make it an extension of their EFBs.

As for the camera, get a gopro, no one seriously using actions cameras uses anything else.

The watch, meh, I like Swiss automatics, if you want a tech watch get a sunnto

Do the Sunnto's actually SET themselves off the GPS?

I've seen some REALLY stupid watches that have GPS toys in them that don't SET themselves from the most accurate clock source most folks ever use on a regular basis.

Ticks me off. (Get it? Groan...)

I don't bother with watches much anymore but when I do have one, it'd better damn well set itself from either GPS or WWV. Otherwise my stupid iPhone is more accurate.
