Arlington County Board member Mary Hynes, chairman of COG’s aviation committee, said local governments cannot afford to discount the employment and revenue benefits derived from airports.

“To the extent airports are suffering, it reduces our revenue stream,” Hynes said. “Airports are important to the local economy. They don’t take our bucks, they give us bucks.”

Don't hold your breath. Lots of security professionals depend on idiocy like the no fly zone and the SFRA for a living. I don't expect to see either diminish or go away in my lifetime.
