Nervous about this... Anyone seen their display do this before?20160723_175924.jpg

Nothing to worry about. The airplane is supposed to be on top of the magenta line...:D

The displays for the 430 are long out of production, and I heard Garmin bought up all that was available for support spares. Once those are gone from their inventory the 430's days will be numbered.

Back in the day, those were black and white. Man those spoiled "children of the light grey line"

Call garmin.

Despite the sky falling garbage, the GSN line ain't going anywhere.

You ought to be nervous....you're still on VLOC as your nav source. :D

Hmmm.

Mine had vertical lines on it (like, really bad ones) a number of years ago, not long after I had the WAAS upgrade done, then it stopped, and has not done it since.

Garmin has a flat-rate repair which is pretty much a, "jack it up and drive a new one in" deal. Assuming it hasn't been, like, flooded. And isn't a 28v-only unit (which they no longer support). Around a grand, which seems pretty reasonable in today's pretend money.

I say, watch it and be ready to ship off for rework if it gets worse.
