I fly at university where all aircraft are equipped with G1000 with WAAS and ADS-B.
As far as I know, the aircraft reports pressure altitude to the ATC and there are two types of encoders on board. With G1000, what are the possible type of encoder our school might be having on board?
I will also ask one of the instructors but I doubt everyone has different idea about it.
