So, did anyone catch the episode of Sighting In on Shooting USA on Saturday? They did stories of future offerings for military and LE weapons, with some awesome developments of large caliber, very high velocity rifles, as well as one monster 1911A1 look-alike in .50 cal from Guncrafter. Looks like a normal 1911A1, until the camera angle swung around to display the sewer pipe muzzle!

Never noticed that "power factor" number before.
Anybody know what it means?
Always looked for muzzle energy & velocity.

I liked the Phazed Plasma Rifle in the 9 Watt Range.

They went thru the formula used to compute "power factor" but I fast forwarded thru the explanation. They did use energy and velocity as part of the calc that I did hear. I'll dig a bit and see if I can find it. Can't recall if I deleted the episode from TiVo or not...
