Funny tunes while flying today ...

Had to laugh when this came up on the shuffle.



Especially when I had to switch to PUB tower because DEN hadn't done the handoff and I was bombing into the Delta...

And on the way back, DEN told me to stop my descent at an altitude that would have put me into the Bravo in three miles without issuing a Bravo clearance...

Heh.

The band, by the way, was started by an ex-Navy controller and their next album is due out in March.

One time I was flying along, and the silence on the radio was broken with something like "PUT DOWN THE GUN! PUT DOWN THE F****** GUN!!!"

I perked up and thought I was listening in on a berserk controller or a hijack in progress.

Turns out I had an Eminem album shuffling in rotation on my iPod, and this was a little spoken "bridge" between songs!

Like I said, it really got my attention!
