Hi Guys,

I'm creating a weight and balance spreadsheet in MS Excel based off the C172S, which is the make/model aircraft I fly.

If the Max Takeoff/Landing Weight exceeds 2550 lbs., I would like Excel to change the color of the cell to red, and if it is at/below this number, leave the cell yellow...but I haven't been able to find a function to do so.

In the interim, I just entered the following IF function:
Code:
=IF(B8+B9<2551,"IN LIMITS","NOT IN LIMITS")
Does anyone know of an MS Excel function that will change color of a cell based on a particular value?

Thanks,
Jason

After some research, I found this can be accompished by the "Conditional Formatting" feature under the "Format" menu.

Jason,

You've got it.

Check out my W&B spreadsheet located in this thread, and feel free to rip off any and all ideas contained therein. It's pretty cool, but it could certainly stand to be improved as well!
