I have an aerial shot of an area a couple miles from my house. In it is a house that goes back to the late 1700s. So I figured I'd follow the Riggs Cove Road to the end and show it to the owners. It was one of five that Mr. Riggs built in the late 1700s while he was a shipping company owner. Yes, I saw the sign which advised PRIVATE ROAD - TURN AROUND, but - - - - and the owner, who was NOT Mr. Riggs, was happy to see the unusual(to her) shot and ordered an enlargement. During the return trip I stopped and got a shot of apparent fun on the Maine coast, a good example of the legend that "a boat is a hole in the water one keeps pouring money into." That shot is below.
The scene is Robinhood Marine Center. If you are familiar with Cape Dory sailboats and yachts, this is where they are built.
