AOPA The Pilot magazines. A bit musty smell but no stains, tears, dog eared, or loose sheets. From 134 to 200+ pages per issue. Ads are minimally obtrusive, excellent in depth articles, a far cry from the magazine issues of today. More issues as I unload boxes. For that matter, I have loads of The Pilot from 1970s through the early 2000s.

Picture shows;

March 1965
October 1965
July 1966
June 1966
October 1966
November 1966

More of AOPA The Pilot. Shown are;

December 1964
April 1965
November 1965
January, February, March, April, December 1966
March 1967

I've about 30 more boxes of aviation books to work through. That is aside from the magazines (AOPA, Flying, Sport Pilot, etc).

BTW: the stories you read today, ie, How lean is too lean, are just rehashed from back then. The difference is back then the articles were more in depth and today is just different equipment with same operating principals.

Due to lack of response I guess no one has libraries anymore. No one reads books anymore. Last call.....

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. After all, given the lackadaisical response to an airport threatened with closure (E55) I shouldn't expect pilots to be interested in aviation books. I thought to give you chaps first chance before I haul them to the local FBO and let them toss them to the trash. I won't bother to list the 30 odd boxes of books I have left.

County Air...see if you may want to donate to an Aviation University program's Library... I know Embry Riddle at Prescott has thousands of these books and always took great pride in accepting books (and Magazines!) in their Collection. The school that I teach at (local Comm College with an Aviation program) takes donates for Miami based books and Aviation articles. Definately worth a try. I would love to seek out a few...but since I dont have a library (small apartment) my already small book shelf has been overrun and many of the books I own are in boxes as well.

David, in consideration of your informative reply I offer that you pick any book(s) you want and I will send them to you. You only pay postage.

I have a library of books just these books don't interest me. Reading magazine from the 60's isn't of interest.
