I had not flown for a while. The weather on Tuesday was good and I decided to make my first flight of the year. I planned a little trip to Fritzlar Air Base and Oerlinghausen, where I had not been before.

Thanks, enjoy the history lesson on the airport. I was stationed at Zweibrucken AB in '70-'71 when it was a US base. We had F-4D Wild Weasels (I think) and a squadron of RF-4C. German civil airport now but you can still see the bunkers there.
