Went for a quick flight in my neighbors Cardinal, 30 minutes or so to tank up. We taxied up to the pumps and got out, and about 10 feet from the plane I noticed my left boot was covered in oil. I looked around and didn't see any thing, didn't remember kicking any thing in the hanger before we left. So I stuck my head under the panel and I see oil dripping down from the firewall area. It seems the oil pressure line had come loose at the pass thru connector at the firewall. Now I remember looking and seeing oil pressure at start up, run up, and on the take off roll, (Yes, I'm paranoid and look over the PICs shoulder. He's nice enough to ignore me) It kind of spooked me,and I'm wonderig when the stupid thing came loose. After I cleaned up the oil as best I could, I found the line dangling behind the radio stack.
(Of course when I got home, the wife said the oil on my new boots make me look like a Harley owner.)
