"Fly" Fishing

I gotta call BS on that one. That is a big powerful fish and to just dive in and grab it.

According to the sites I've looked at, it's real. He did it for a show on Discovery, and msnbc did a story on it. Now, whether that means it's actually real, I don't know. I can still hope so, though.

Yes, my BS meter is pegged. Get a load of this video from years ago. I would think the fishing line would have to be aircraft cable but who knows!!

Come on, that could definitely be real. Wasn't that big of a shark, and if you use a wire leader and 100lb test (he did have a pretty big rod/reel), I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I also found helicopter golfing (skip to 0:43, although the entire video is pretty worth watching)

Can you imagine the thoughts going through the sharks mind as it goes skipping across the water at breakneck speeds. Prolly thinking look at the size of blimp I just caught.

And what happens to the man who dove in? How is he recovered? Or does he simply swim until he is exhausted and drown? (Thereby chumming the waters for more fish).

hand that man a knife, and i think we've got a new "sport".

I don't know about "Stan"... But

Marlin Perkins would send Jim Fowler into enough dicey situations that would kill most humans...... Like...

Marlin talking " See Jim wrestle the 25 foot, 400 lbs Anaconda snake here in the Amazon river, Uh oh.. Jim seems to have been pulled under water"..

Stay tuned for a commercial from our sponsor ..... Mutual Of Omaha life Insurance....:hairraise::yikes::eek::rofl::lol::rofl::lol::nono:

OK, Jim not Stan. It was a long time ago.

And Marlin's segue into the commercials were also laughable: "Just as Jim wrestles the anaconda to submission, so will our insurance agents dive into the water and wrestle into submission any competing agent who shows up in your pool!" -Skip

The shark looks like it's already dead when being "played" and then hauled out....

The swordfish video is real, we do that from time to time off the NW coast when the offshore currents are right.
