Floatplane training in MN?

Anyone know of floatplane training available in the vicinity of Grand Rapids, MN or maybe Hibbing/Virginia? I inquired of the FBO in GR, but they have nothing on floats. We'll be up there for about 10 days in mid-July and I'd love a get an hour or two of float time in the log.

I just did my training with www.adventureseaplanes.com I had a great time. they are based out of the surf side seaplane base in Lino Lakes Minnesota.

Hello Rick,

Maybe you should check out www.wingsoverwaterseaplanes.com . They will train with a 160 supercub (cool) for $195 per hour with instructor.

I remember reading about the editor of Plane and Pilot mag. doing a BFR there by getting her seaplane rating and she had all praises for the experience.

I would really like to do that sometime.

+1 for NorthAir. Haven't taken instruction from them, but bought a plane from Dale and really liked his style and the other equipment in his operation. Unfortunately, way west of where you'll be.
