Flight instruction recommendations - Houston, TX?

Does anyone have any input on Houston-area flight instruction? Intending to complete PPL, then on to instrument rating. I have spoken with one CFI whom I liked, and have a discovery flight booked for Sunday with a different school.

KEFD and KLVJ (South side of Houston) are closest to me, but I could travel a bit if there's a really great instructor to chase down. Any and all input / experiences would be appreciated, both good and bad.

https://www.flytigers.net/ is at Ellington Field. I don't know who else is there, but they seem to have a good reputation.

I went up with one of their CFIs on Sunday - they seem like a pretty good operation. Planes in good shape, instructors have good attitudes, easy to deal with.
