Flight across the country.

How fantastic. Thanks for posting those.

Awesome pics! Where did you start & end the journey? And what were you flying - you went from buzzing the stratosphere to XC at FL250!!??

I made a similar (nearly exact) trip to HND in March of this year. My pics are here: http://gallery.lookatthejoneses.com/v/Vegas2007/ with a write-up here: http://www.lookatthejoneses.com/

I feel much better after seeing someone else take so many pics of the Grand Canyon and desert area. As a midwest/southeast flatlander, it was amazing to see some varying geology! :D

Thanks for sharing!

I see New Mexico mountains (possibly Sandia, most likely further north). Nice shot!

edit: also - "Another Fault Line" looks very familiar....that's right around the continental divide near Gallup, ain't it? and "Another neat airport with interesting approach" is Temple Bar!

It was in my uncle's Turbo Stationair. Trip was from IND-KEMP-SAF-HND and then back with one fuel stop going East.

Same here. Even more interesting was the altimeter setting on short final. You kinda' do a double take when you're over the fence and the altimeter still shows more than 2k!

That sounds about right. :) The mountains were north of us as we were dodging the convective pop ups.
