Grrrrrrrr
Since Firefox recently auto-updated me, every time I go to a new website the cursor automatically goes to the address bar. I'm used to it going to the first window on the page so I can fill out usernames and passwords. There's no obvious option to change this. It's killing me, since I find forms getting left blank and the address bar filling up with my text.

Anyone else have this happen?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11

I have never come across this behavior, John.

Maybe you have Caret Browsing enabled? Even if so, however, the caret usually lands on the top left (beginning of the content), not in the address bar.

Fixed it. I have an extension called NewTabURL, and the box labeled "Select location bar after loading new tab" was checked. I unchecked it. I have no idea how it got checked in the last few days; I haven't touched it.
