Finding a good attorney

Hello, is there a directory online anywhere of good aviation attorneys? The few that I had found only deal with accident litigation.

AOPA Legal Services Plan can refer you to an attorney on their roster even if you are not a member (Full disclosure: I am a panel attorney on their roster). The entire list was available on their website at one time, but either it is no longer or they've hidden it well. In any case, a call to AOPA HQ should point you in a useful direction.

Cool thank you!! Do you have any good referrals in the Colorado/utah area?

Unfortunately, I can't recall personally knowing anyone practicing aviation law in either state to refer you. Depending on the nature of your issue, you might also try the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Assoc. at http://www.lpba.org/, or the International Air & Transportation Safety Bar Association (Formerly: National Transportation Safety Board Bar Association) at http://iatsba.org//.

The latter makes their member directory public and searchable via their website, and I see two attorneys in each of Colorado and Utah. Best wishes to you.

Phoenix area... Paul Rowley (pilot, AOPA panel, FAAST, etc) or Michael Pearson (FAA controller, Aviation Prof, author)
