And a reason most departments won't arrest on a warrant until it's confirmed by the issuing agency. As in, make a phone call, ask them to physically confirm the existence of the warrant, not just a computer entry of it's existence and then (and only then) make the arrest.

Can't say that's full proof either though. I've heard of served warrants accidentally getting put back in active files, but it's rare.
 
Yes, Ma'am - WARRANT IN HAND is the operative phrase here in North Cackalacky, thank you very much. I can't imagine arresting someone simply on the basis of what the computer says! :eek: :no:
