This is an actual email sent out by a corporate IT department:

Email has experienced a significant event for users who are in the central U.S. Users are experiencing degraded and/or intermittent email and Blackberry services. In addition, there are a significant number of users that have no access to email during this event. IT is working to recover services as quickly as possible.

If you have a Blackberry device and are still able to send and receive email on that device, please continue to use the Blackberry device as your primary email tool. This will improve the degraded performance for people who do not have a Blackberry available to them.

The support desk, when folks called in to complain that email wasn't working, were telling folks to "check your email for an update".
 
The ones I like is when I call to report no connection to my internet service and they say, "...or you can go online and report the problem." Same with the power company.

Ummmm....ok!
