Anyone have any input on Pocket Plates from AnywhereMap? I was given an Anywhere WX system, which included a sample software of Pocket Plates, which I thought was a very nice program, with the ability to watch your progress on the approach plate itself. I was just trying to decide if it is worth the price to update the plates, or if I should just stay with the paper plates. I will still download and print the necessary plates for the destination airports and some alternates in the area, because the plates are a little too small on the PDA. I just wondered what other people's opinions are.

I like the Pocket Plates concept, but find that they are a bit hard to read from my PDA in the cockpit. I think it is a case of too much information, too small a screen and eyes that just are as young as they used to be. When I move to a tablet-based electronic flight bag, I'd consider adding them to the mix.
