EAA's side of the story...

The bill says protest outside of where a politician is.....does not say anything about writing protest letters. But I agree it is scary. Sets this country back almost 250 years.
 
Are you confident that the income from aviation gas taxes are adequate to fully fund all FAA Operations?

I'm sure that I don't have all the facts I need to make an informed opinion, but it seems to me that if the taxes and fees generated by normal air traffic are able to pay for the expenses of the system, then the increased taxes and fees generated by the increased air traffic at this event should continue to pay for the system.

I get that there are expenses associated with this event that are unique (overtime, per diem, etc) but there are also fees and taxes generated by this event that would not normally happen. Many pilots spend a significant portion of their annual flight budget on this one event. Take away the event and you take away the fees/taxes generated by the event.
