A friend of mine needs an aDSL modem / wireless router that can be configured to prioritize traffic in favor of a particular computer (not application or port). Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,

Rich

It is a LOT easier to just buy a WRT54G or WRT54GL that is already flashed with
DD-WRT. ~$45 on eBay, including shipping ... unless you are in a rush.

Tip: Avoid the v8 hardware. The antennas are molded-in; not replaceable.

Thanks. I know about DD-WRT and will go that route (no pun intended) if needed. My buddy's not exactly a tech maven, though, and there are some miles between us; so I was hoping for something off-the-shelf I could tell him to buy. Maybe I'll just send him an eBay link.

Dunno if Buffalo is still selling gear using DD-WRT. At one time, they did.

For his purposes, should not matter if the DD-WRT build is Micro, Mini or Mega.
