Drone hits Navy ship

Now we need to make everyone aware of this so they'll stop trying to make us share airspace with those things.
 
Reports said they were practicing using the radar to detect the drone. My guess is two sailors were goofing around and hit the ship. Don't ask me why I think that. ;) :lol:

No, this was a preprogrammed target drone that malfunctioned. Not a piloted UAV.

Basically part of a combat systems equipment certification for the ship.

Drones are probably cheaper.....but you don't have to worry about a Lear hitting the ship.

My ship used those drones for certification in Hawaii. This was back in 1994 or '95.

19 years is quite the delay for 'outrage'.
