The last thread of this nature faded out into something else.
What recent aviation apps are folks happy with and want to share?
Saw WingX on an iPhone today and it was pretty nice. Seems it could be cheaper than XM weather on the Garmin at $99/yr. vs. $480 or more for XM.
Thoughts and recommendations?

WingX on Android doesn't support moving map, I do use it however for geo-referenced approach plates, as well as weather and airport info, along with route planning. It's a good app, but the Android version doesn't have nearly the features that the iPhone/iPad version does.

If you're looking for moving map applications on Android that also have weather (at least cellular weather), you're going to want to take a look at Avilution Aviation Maps as well as Naviator. Both of these are very solid aviation applications and either one will cover most needs. I'm not aware of any of these applications currently supporting ADS-B hardware, but these things change rapidly, so hopefully that will transpire soon (or perhaps I'm incorrect on that assumption).
