Guess I'm fortunate that I don't have the money to afford such technology so not much chance of confusion.
That was pretty intereseting and I was guessing out loud here that the arrows were actually showing the development and expansion of the storm. especially since it really didn't move much in the second image taken 10 min later.
These often point contrary to winds aloft forecast and experienced, so I haven't give them much credence. There's typically enough time to see a trend that is more informative than the superimposed arrows.
If I saw those dueling arrows, I would (erroneously, maybe, but safely) assume they meant the cell was expanding like a waistband at Christmas, and fly accordingly.
