To Columbia Mo to have lunch with son and my instructor. Via 3MY, and hopefully will say hi to a certain AME who no longer posts here.

This guy that I'm going with believes for IR training you go in XC do hood work and such on route, do approaches the whole shebang. Should be interesting and fun.
 
Sounds like a really boring flight and I'd love it. It will all be worth it when you finally pull off the hood and see a nice runway a few hundred feet in front of you.

It's even instructive if you pull off the hood and don't see a runway in front of you - it was a simulated emergency NDB approach en-route on a really windy day. It was good training for the day I had a mag failure while IFR over IMC...
