Do You Call UNICOM in Your Small GA Aircraft?

I called Unicom not too long ago at an airport where I didn't know where the fuel pumps were, to get directions. No answer, the FBO was closed and no one was there. No biggie, I taxied around until I found them. That's rare though; usually I call the FBO before I leave and coordinate anything I need ahead of time.
