DG Dying

I think my DG might be on its way out. The heading bug seems to float around once in a while.

Any ideas where to get it rebuilt or exchange for a rebuilt one?

I would have a mechanic/avionics specialist take a quick look behind the panel first, before you yank it for overhaul. It is possible that you have a vacuum line coming loose, or even cracked. The vacuum gauge might still show adequately, but you may not be getting enough to spool the gyro satisfactorily.
If this is the case, this increases the demand/wear on the vacuum pump, potentially subjecting it to premature failure.
