Demo 1&3 MOA's SW of the SFRA

There is an approach frequency given on the sectional chart for these and the ever present NOTAM note. Is there anyone on this forum with recent practical experience flying through them ? I'll have to do the normal check if I go through
but just wondered if they are heavily used by the. Corps.

It really depends on what training evolution the new Marine Lieutenants at The Basic School and Infantry Officers Course are on. They are the primary beneficients of those areas. It could be a couple of weeks of zero inactivity followed by a week's worth of 16 hour days of operation. Best to just ask I suppose. Oh, and generally it's only helo traffic in those MOAs. However, both groups occasionally benefit from low altitude (FAST) CAS demonstrations by FA-18s from Norfolk or AV-8s from Cherry Point, so play it smart and ask the controlling agency what's going on in there before making any assumptions! Lol

Just ask PCT. They'll be glad to tell you. More often than not, they are not active.
