Apparently a boy left a valuable memento of his deceased father on a Delta aircraft and didn't realize it until after leaving the airport. A close family friend called customer service and they were able to track down the item, one of his father's shirts, and return it to the boy. I'm sure it meant the world to the boy to have it back, and Delta saw an opportunity for some good press.

What I found ironic were these two statements in the article:

A Delta spokesman told FoxNews.com that the airline has a rigorous process in place for logging forgotten items and articles found on their planes.
Delta staff, from the ground crew to the ticket agents, went on the look out for the shirt, and ultimately found it in the garbage.
That must be some kind of process they have there!!! I guess it worked in this case though....
