10 years ago today I was given permission to terrorize the skies on my own and with people if I so desired. 48 states, 2 airplanes, 6 ratings, numerous endorsed logbooks, a hundred or so Lake Michigan crossings, a handful of night mountain crossings, a smattering of nighttime unlit field landings, and a thousandish hours or so later, I still haven't bent any metal, crapped my pants, had any passengers crap their pants, or died.

And to think I started just because I was bored and wanted something to do.

I only realized it was 10 years when I had to sign paperwork for my CCW and saw it was the 8th.

Maybe that had something to do with the Mayan forecasts.

Good to see you back.

It's coming up 60 years for me, and yes BTDT with most of them.

So, shall we be expecting a report on your vigintennial anniversary?

I've still got it, but haven't done much flying. Probably will be doing less here in a bit since I will be getting cut open.

By Odin what for! You're a young healthy guy. Not having one of those sex change thingies are you?

Destroyed shoulder. When it started to affect my....oh crap, mom and dad read this forum....uh...it hurts a lot when I do stuff.

It started two years ago as slight pain while playing softball. I got out of the outfield, and that took care of the "it hurts when I throw" issue. In the winter I was boxing, but come spring it was hurting when I punched. Played another season of softball, avoiding throwing the ball very hard, but still hurt when I batted. Finally, it just started to ache/hurt/shooting pain anytime it took any sort of impact or strain. Lifting, running, it even hurts to do push ups, and by the end of each day it aches when I crawl into bed.

MRI/arthrogram showed a torn labrum, and I see the specialist in a week and a half to see how bad it is, and what the repair process is going to be.

Very glad to hear you're doing things you wouldn't want your parents to know about. Good luck with the surgery.
