Man, I must’ve *just* missed you, I was in that exact spot about 730ish. Had just taken off from GKT toward Collegedale.
so there's this cool thing u can do....u hop in the plane and fly somewhere and then you get something to eat. kind of like a 'fly to lunch' kind of thing. I highly suggest u guys n gals try it some time!
The town of Stewart is in a narrow valley, and the runway is feet away from the river. Steep turns are a requirement for the pattern, if you don't like confined spaces, and 60⁰ banks in the pattern, you are best to just avoid the place.
It is a lot of fun. Especially if you like prawns, crab, or fish. I always take up a big cooler with me. One of my best friends lives there has a boat, traps, and tackle. So I always bring home something.
Ps. The runway is huge and paved, so it is easy to get into and out of, so anyone can land there with ease.
Took my daughter to breakfast a few weeks ago. She's flown 4 times now, this was her first time actually going somewhere.
That's junk food considering the airplane you're flying Now fly that beast to West Texas, offer me a ride and then enjoy some authentic Mexican food
