this happened yesterday at a local fly in. Threw a roll of TP out of the window and then flew around to cut it with his wing....

I vaguely remember that being mentioned in another thread as in, do people do that? Well, apparently some do :)

It's fun! Can't really hurt anything ether (in the air or on the ground). Try holding the tail of it when you let it go, see how many time you can cut it, good way to practice precision airmanship.

one of my first aviation memories is cutting TP with my uncle in his cherokee 140. I was probably 6.

An old Army buddy of mine used to tell of flying the O-1 and cutting toilet paper on repeated passes. On one pass, a wad got stuck in the intake and killed the engine. He glided down to a safe landing, removed the air obstruction and took off again.

cool video.
never been to Mars, but now i've seen what it looks like :D

i was hoping to see the landing ; (

Just don't be tempted to cut it with the prop. You'll be picking little bits of TP out of the cylinder fins.
Seems like that would be a pretty big fire hazard. Not to mention clogging air intakes. Exactly why I always try to cut it as far out on the wing as possible. And in a Skyhawk, always use the right wing, so the pitot or stall warning won't get clogged.
